Summer is the best season of
the year when you can forget about studying
for a while and have a rest. I
want to tell you about my lovely 2014 summer
holiday.
It was the happiest June in my life because I got «A» mark
on my chemistry
and biology exams. In June I
also had my English lessons.
In July we decided to go somewhere. I wanted to visit Sochi.
I have never
been there. But my mum said
«no» and we decided to go to Montenegro. I did
not like the idea, but I had
no choice.
I tried to pack as more as possible. I took all my gadgets
and a lot of clothes
(and warm clothes too). And I
did not forget about food, too.
I usually travel by plane because my mum works in the
airport. There was
no direct flight from
Novosibirsk, so we got to Moscow first. We stayed at my
grandmother`s house. She has
lived in Moscow for 30 years. A day later, we
arrived in Budva. It took us
an hour to get there from the local airport.
In Budva we rented a cottage. The weather was unpredictable.
In the
morning it was windy and rainy
but in the afternoon it was «brutally» hot. Our
cottage was on a steep hill
and It was really difficult to get there.
A local cuisine was pretty tasty but very unhealthy. One day
I ate grilled
pork in one of the best
restaurants in Budva. It was delicious and the sauce was
great. But after that I had a
stomachache. The meat was too greasy, I think.
I had a good time on the beach. I sunbathed, swam in the
sea, built sand
castles and took a lot of
photos. And I forgot to use my sunscreen before
sunbathing, so I had my skin
burned on the first day! We also visited an old
monastery. It was on the top
of the mountain. We bought a jar of honey there. It
cost 5 Euros.
The activity I enjoyed the most was swimming in the sea. I
have practiced
swimming for 5 years. As a
result, I can swim very well. I also tried to make new
friends, but local kids did
not understand English. But I made new acquaintances
in Moscow.
That is all I can write about my summer holiday. I hope I
will visit
Montenegro again.
